Mark Wahlberg Won’t Take Kids to NKOTB Reunion
Brothers Mark Wahlberg and Donnie Wahlberg are all over the news these days, with rapper-turned-actor Mark about to be a new father and Donnie’s old-school boy band New Kids On the Block enjoying a long-anticipated reunion.
However, when we caught up with the man formerly known as Marky Mark, he told OK! that he likely won’t be bringing kids Ella, 4, and 2-year-old Michael to see their uncle Donnie perform live anytime soon.
“They’re probably still a little bit young for all that gyrating and stuff,” Mark explained to OK! at the NYC premiere of his new film, The Happening, on Wednesday. “They went to The Wiggles concert, they went to the Doodlebops. And they just went to Elmo this weekend. That’s about their speed.” (Read full story …)
Mark Passes On Funky Bunch Reunion. ‘Not A F—ing Chance,’ He Laughs
I kind of thought Mark Wahlberg might hit me if I brought up A) New Kids on the Block or B) the Funky Bunch in my interview with him to ostensibly promote “The Happening.” Lo and behold 15 minutes into our chat I found him to be a charming, self-effacing guy who was more than happy to laugh at his past a little.
His reaction to brother Donnie hooking up with NKOTB once again? “Whatever floats your boat. If the Rolling Stones can be wheeled out on wheelchairs then why can’t the New Kids go out there?”
What about a reunion with the Funky Bunch who are also reportedly getting back together? “Not a f—ing chance,” he told me.

Film review: ‘Happening’ shocks, then bores
For a movie called “The Happening,” not much happens.
M. Night Shyamalan effectively delivers the usual broody air of foreboding that has been a trademark of his hits (”The Sixth Sense” and “Signs”) and misses (”Lady in the Water” and “Unbreakable”).
And this fear-mongering story of an airborne toxin that causes victims to snuff themselves in nasty ways — shoving hairpins into their throats, hurling themselves en masse off a high rise, the like — induces plenty of seat-squirming. The shock value wears off quickly, though, and writer-director Shyamalan strands us (along with Mark Wahlberg and Zooey Deschanel) in an ultimately boring cautionary tale with an infantile eco-message. Mark Wahlberg: David Beckham should go back to the UK
Mark Wahlberg is unhappy that David Beckham and wife Victoria have moved down the road from him.
The actor reckons Posh and Becks have brought unwanted media attention to the exclusive LA suburb.
